Kenston Youth Tackle Football Deadline is June 1st!

MANDATORY REGISTRATION DEADLINE is JUNE 1, 2023  

Kenston Youth Football will be playing in the Great Lakes Youth Football League for the 2023 season. League games will be on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

KEY DATES:

Thursday, June 1st – registration deadline
Thursday, June 8th – 1st jersey fitting
Thursday, June 15th – 2nd jersey fitting
Sunday, July 23rd – equipment handout
July 24th – 27th – non-contact conditioning
July 31st – August 3rd – first week of full-contact practice
August 12th or 13th – scrimmage
August 19th or 20th – first game
Potential for Playoffs/Championship Games through October 29th

PRICE BREAKDOWN

$215 – Mighty Mites 1st-2nd Grade (includes mandatory $20 practice jersey)
$245 – JV & Varsity 3rd-6th Grade (includes mandatory $20 practice jersey)
$40 Game Jersey

* Game jersey is required for all new players
* Game jersey is optional for returning players
* Returning players can use last season’s jersey or purchase a new one
* Returning players must bring last year’s jersey to equipment fitting
* Please contact the KCE office for a sibling discount

EQUIPMENT FITTING

Thursday, June 8th from 5-7p at Auburn Community Park
Thursday, June 15th from 5-7p at Auburn Community Park
Jerseys are customized to fit so it is mandatory that players attend a fitting
Bring last year’s jersey for fitting if you are not purchasing a new one
Be prepared with player’s number request (bring top 3)

Sunday, July 23th from 10a-1p at Auburn Community Park

MANDATORY CONDITIONING WEEK

Monday July 24th thru Thursday July 27th at Auburn Community Park 6-8 pm
* Varsity and JV – 4 days (Monday – Thursday)
* Mighty Mites – 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

FOOTBALL PRACTICES

* Practices will be 3-4 days per week during summer
* Practices will be 2-3 days per week once school begins
* Practice times and days will be determined by coaches

ATTENTION PARENTS

* MUST READ the concussion info sheet
* Must complete the Lindsay’s Law training
* Must turn in player’s birth certificate
* Must acknowledge the concessions requirement
Note: All equipment is included, except cleats and cup
Note: All equipment must be returned at end of season except jerseys

CONCESSIONS REQUIREMENT

Families are required to work two (1-2hr) shifts over the course of season
* Families can opt out, but it is preferred that they work their required shifts
* Families can opt out at any time by paying an $100 fee through KCE

Shifts include:

* Snack window during weekday ACP practices
* Thursday pizza nights
* Game day concessions at Bomber Stadium
