About the 2025-26 Bomber Wrestling Club (BWC)

BWC Allstars – Age 5 through Grade 6 (boys) and Grade 8 (girls)

3 months

This club level is designed to introduce student athletes to the sport of wrestling. This division is for a first, second or even third year wrestler regardless of age. Children will learn and continue to develop foundational skills of wrestling. Practice will be Monday and Thursday 5:30p-6:30p at Kenston High School Wrestling Room. Children who wish to, may compete on Sundays in the BWA league against other athletes their age and weight. And they can sign up for Novice divisions of several open tournaments the Varsity athletes often compete in. Season will run from November 3rd through roughly January 25th, and every child will receive a singlet, and warm-up t-shirt.

BWC Varsity – Age 5 through Grade 6 (boys) and Grade 8 (girls)

3.5 months of league and open tournaments.

This division is for a third year or more wrestler who is ready to learn higher level technique necessary for higher level competition. Or for the more serious/focused wrestler who wants more practice time and more elite training. Note – if you are a second-year wrestler but wrestled Varsity last season, this is your group too. Practice will be held Monday and Thursday from 6:30-8:15p, and Tuesday from 6:00-7:45p in the Kenston High School Wrestling Room. Athletes will participate in multiple Sunday BWA league events. They can also participate in higher level open and dual tournaments throughout Northeast Ohio through February 15th, but this division will end at the culmination of BWA League Championships Feb 15th. For those looking to continue to compete for the OAC state tournament, as well as others post Feb 15th, please register for VARSITY PLUS. Every child will receive a singlet, warm-up outfit, and t-shirt. Note – if you register for this division for the first time, Coach will assess your child to confirm they are ready to be in the Varsity room. 

BWC Varsity – Age 5 through Grade 6 (boys) and Grade 8 (girls)

5 months of league & open tournaments plus OAC and more through end of March.

This group is same as VARSITY but for athletes who want extra work and want to participate in more open tournaments and post season wrestling, in addition to the BWA League events. Every year, more and more athletes are choosing to participate in OAC, Ohway, Ohioquest post season state tournaments January through end of March. By registering for this group, you let us know that your athlete is looking to extend beyond Feb 15th and instead try to wrestle toward the OAC State Tournament March 28th/29th. This allows us to include your athlete in extra small group practices, and practices post Feb 15th. Every child will receive a singlet, warm-up outfit, and a t-shirt. Note – you can always bump your wrestler up to this group mid season for a $50 additional fee.

BWC “POST SEASON ONLY” Registration

Post season runs February 16, 2025 – March 29, 2025 for $50 registration fee.
Age 5 through 6th Grade (boys) / 8th Grade (girls)

This is registration is for wrestlers who either:

1. Signed up for Varsity Division but decided to continue wrestling through end of March for OAC, or
2. Athletes outside of Bomber Wrestling Club who wish to practice for post season with our club through end of March.
