Veterans Day, November 11, 2024 is the final day in 2024 that all National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee is offering free admission to everyone. NPS – Free Entrance Days

National Park Senior Lifetime Pass

The $80.00 Senior Lifetime and $20 Senior Annual Senior Passes provide admittance to more than 2,000 recreation sites managed by six Federal agencies, with up to 100% of the proceeds being used to improve and enhance visitor recreation services. This pass is for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are 62 years or older. (You must have turned 62 before you can buy the pass).

All the money from entrance fees remains in the National Park Service, and at least 80 percent stays in the park where it was collected.

At many sites the Senior Pass provides the pass owner a discount on Expanded Amenity Fees (such as camping, swimming, boat launching, and guided tours).
