1/26 & 1/27/26 You Guessed It – CANCELLED!

After extensive review, deep reflection, and one glance out the window, we are officially cancelling all practices, games and activities on Monday, January 26, 2026 AND Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Here are just some of the many, many reasons besides the fact that Kenston Local Schools is CLOSED:

• The snow is falling sideways and appears to be emotionally invested.
• Roads are less “drivable” and more “choose your own adventure.”
• Wind chill has entered the “personal vendetta” category.
• Snowbanks are now taller than several of our athletes.
• Visibility is measured in feet, not optimism.
• Cleats are not designed for ice skating, no matter how confident you feel.
• The fields are currently unavailable because they are… snow. All snow.
• Parking lots have disappeared. We assume they’re still there, spiritually.
• Shoveling a lot this size would require divine intervention and several days.
• Emergency services have better things to do than rescue someone “just trying to make practice.”
• We are not testing who owns the biggest winter coat.
• “It might stop later” has been reviewed and rejected.
• “We can just adjust” is not stronger than a historic weather event.
• Even the weather apps are stressed.
• This storm has a Wikipedia entry waiting to happen.

In conclusion:
The 100-Year Snow Storm wins.
We accept defeat with grace, hot beverages, and heated blankets.

All games and practices are canceled.
Please stay home, stay safe, and stop refreshing for updates hoping we’ll change our minds.

We won’t. ❄️🏆

P.S. Please keep our director in your thoughts and prayers as she bravely faces the emotional, logistical, and spreadsheet-based aftermath of rescheduling every single practice & game. Candles optional. Patience required. ☃️📅
