2025-26 Bomber Wrestling Club (BWC) Season Recap

We just completed our 8th season of Bomber Wrestling Club!

We had over 120 student athletes, K–6th grade, enrolled during the regular season across our two divisions: Allstars and Varsity. Our summer group of 60+ athletes is already back on the mat Monday and Wednesday evenings, getting sharper, staying in shape, and building for next season.

Summer registration is now open for the full May–August session. We know summer is packed with other sports, vacations, and family outings, so this year we’ve added a drop-in option. Please pre-register and attend when you are able. One year of wrestling experience is required.

Our mission remains the same: build the best youth wrestling club in Northeast Ohio for ages 5 through 6th grade. Not “best” strictly because of trophies and accolades, although we’ve got those, but best because of development. We teach foundational skills until they become instinct. We develop inexperienced and experienced wrestlers into competitors who can handle adversity physically and mentally when it matters most.

Wrestling is an amazing sport for teaching discipline, work ethic, confidence, and lessons that guide student athletes in a lifelong pursuit of improvement. Our goal is for every wrestler who experiences our club to LOVE the sport of wrestling and want to continue throughout their academic career and beyond.

This season, our Allstar group practiced twice a week from November through January, and those interested in competing did so on Sundays during Allstar sessions of the Buckeye Wrestling Association League. Some athletes further tested themselves in individual novice events throughout Ohio. Eight of our wrestlers earned their spot on the Novice State podium across the boys and girls divisions, including one state champion.

This season, two Varsity League teams competed on Sundays in the Buckeye Wrestling Association League against 14 other local teams. At the League Championships, against athletes from over 125 schools and clubs throughout Ohio, we had seventeen championship qualifiers and three placers, including two finalists.

At OHWAY State, one of Ohio’s two premier grade school tournaments, we had nine qualifiers and six placers. At the Ohio Athletic Committee (OAC) State Tournament, we qualified thirteen wrestlers and brought home six placers.

We’re locked in and excited for growth and development this summer. Next season registration info will be available by August. One important note: the 2026–2027 season will finish earlier than usual due to the OAC State Tournament moving to February 13–14, 2027 instead of the traditional end-of-March timeframe.

See you on the mat!
